NEW DELHI - Securities and Exchange Board of India's Primary
Market Advisory Committee has recommended changes in application forms for investment in initial public offers, Minister of State for Finance Pawan Kumar Bansal said today.
"The Primary Market Advisory Committee has in principle endorsed
the suggestions of Group on Review of Issue Process on manual intervention in the issue process," the minister said in reply to a query in the Rajya Sabha.
"These measures will enable faster and transparent processing of
application forms leading to a reduction in the time gap between
closure of an IPO and its listing," he said.
After examination, these proposals will be taken up by the SEBI
board for approval.
